Sea Containers WA supports Water for Africa

In April 2016, Sea Containers WA was approached by Julie Hepworth, co-founder of Water for Africa Australia.
They were looking at sending supplies to Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania to build new water wells and repair broken ones.
Once in Tanzania, the plan was to turn our old shipping container into a workshop for the local team to work out of.
We cant believe how well it all worked out, and we are very proud to have been a part of the process.

Our technicians are located in Perth, but we can arrange inspection in Regional WA too.
Sea Containers WA is the appointed Western Australian agent for TITAN Containers, manufacturers of the Arctic Stores and Arctic SuperStores.
We are also able to provide modified refrigerated containers to meet customers specific needs, which is why we were approached by one of our long term clients, to assist with the supply of a modified refrigerated container, outside of their  normal requirement.
They were after a refrigerated container with side access, for ease of loading/unloading pallets of components that were required to be kept at a set temperature on site in the Pilbara mining region.
We worked with the factory direct to build a unit with insulated side doors that was able to keep temperatures for our client.
The container was delivered and put to good use on site, to a very happy client.

Sea Containers WA supports the Fremantle Dockers

Earlier this year, we received a phone call from Adrian Lacquiere, who is the Strategic Projects Manager for the Fremantle Football Club.
The club was looking for temporary storage for their equipment while their new stadium was being built in Cockburn, WA. They wanted something sturdy and secure, and we agreed that a shipping container from Sea Containers WA was the best way moving forward.

The new Dockers stadium, which is planned for completion early in 2018, will also house a state of the art training center and become a recognized brand associated with world-class recreation and aquatic amenities. The new venue, in partnership with the Dockers and Curtin University, will include an area with several indoor and outdoor pools, a water playground, six basketball courts and state of the art gym facilities.

Our Managing Director, Kevin Cooper, is an avid Dockers supporter, so was very keen to help out where we could.

Sea Containers WA presents CAFE IN A CONTAINER!

In late 2015 Sea Containers WA commenced work on a pretty interesting container modification job at our depot in Kwinana Beach.
We had been working on this quote for the better part of a year, liaising with the contractors direct to ensure that the idea the client had in mind could be fully brought to fruition.
The plan was to turn a 40’ container into a “crate” for a well-known restaurant in Bunbury to enable additional restaurant and dining space.
Mojo’s is a Bunbury CBD restaurant and wine bar. Mojo’s is home to Bunbury’ s best food & wine, bistro classics and contemporary cafe favorites using fresh local produce.

Sea Containers WA supports local, “Bushfire victims say thanks!”

On the 7th of January 2016, a lightning strike sparked a fire in Perth’s South West that would devastate the area and the small local communities of Waroona and Yarloop.
During its two week burn, the small close-knit community of Yarloop found itself in the direct path of the fire.
The fire burned the historic timber workshops, factories, old churches, the old hospital, shops, hotel, bowling club and the local Fire Station.
Many locals lost their homes, their livelihood, and unfortunately a few dedicated locals lost their lives.
After talks with senior management, and finding a transport company to offer heavily reduced transport, we did what any good Western Australian owned and operated company would do when one of their own has been through such devastation.
We donated not ONE, not even TWO or THREE containers…but SIX!

Sea Containers WA Modified Shipping Container ON FIRE!
We provided four containers to the team at Star International in Booragoon, Western Australia that were transformed into an onsite Fire Training module.
The containers were modified to allow trainees to experience many challenges that come with fighting fires, in a safe and secure area.
Utilising containers for Fire Safety training gives the trainees multiple levels and areas to work with, also keeping the flames enclosed. Sea Containers WA provided the containers within budget and required time frames, even delivering the containers on skids to ensure they were placed exactly where they needed to be.

Graffiti Artists bring Sea Containers WA box alive!

We were recently approached by an Events Management company looking for something a little bit outside of the box for an event they were working on.
Three Cross Management were bringing back the boutique Bayside Festival, and were looking for a project for a few street artists for the day.
Held at Mounts Bay Sailing Club, the boutique event combines live music, fashion shows, cocktails and street art into one undeniable day of summer revelry – that is Bayside.
Sea Containers WA supplied a second-hand container that was used by artists Daek Williams and Konfucius Designs to create a stunning mural during the festival.
Neither artist had worked on a corrugated surface like a shipping container before, but with persistence and dedication, the end result was absolutely amazing!
You many have spotted the container sitting along Stirling Highway in North Fremantle, at our sister company Gran Designs WA yard. It makes for a brilliant talking point for visitors to the yard

Sea Containers WA – Arctic Superstore!
